Prince Escalus

Act 1

 I had to intervene and stop the fighting between the Capulets and the Montagues.I wish they would settle down and bury their diffferences before they tear the city and themselves apart.

 

Act 3

My own kin was killed, and I banished Romeo for avenging poor Mercutio's death by murdering Tybalt.

I am saddned about the death of my kin, Mercutio, but Romeo in his haste for revenge did also commit a crime and so I must banish him from Verona. I think that the death of Tybalt is a big enough punishment for the Capluets, so I will allow them time to grieve.

Act 5

I found that Romeo, Juliet, and fair Paris dead in the same tomb and that Romeo and Juliet had been in love and married!

 I am so very suprised by all that has happened. I knew the famlies' rivalry would end badly, but never like this! So many innocent have fallen, even my own kin! I think now the famlies finally understand how horrible this feud is and will finally end it.
